How to Find the Product Codes for Outlook Software Packages

How to Find the Product Codes for Outlook Software Packages thumbnail
Your computer's registry holds the Outlook product key.

The Microsoft Outlook product key identifies the product and helps prevent software piracy. To reinstall the program, the key is required to activate and use the product. The registry is a Windows operating system database that keeps information about your hardware, software and settings. Product keys are encrypted within your system's registry, which can make them very difficult to locate. As a result, locating the product key for Outlook requires that you install third-party software. Here are some examples.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the WinKeyFinder website (see Resources). The WinKeyFinder software can locate the product key for Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite versions 2007, 2003, 2000 and 97. Click the "Download" button at the site and complete the installation. Double-click the file and complete the installation. Click the "MS Office" button on the left side of the screen. Record the character string in the "Product Key" section.
