Things You'll Need

  • Bleach-free dish soap
  • Clean cloth
  • Baking soda
  • Spray bottle
  • Brush
  • Vacuum cleaner

Instructions

      Remove any residual stain from the carpet by sponging on a solution of 1 tsp. bleach-free liquid dish soap and 2 cups warm water. Blot the area again to absorb excess moisture. Repeat this until the stain is gone.

      Cover the area with baking soda.

      Mist the baking soda with water from a spray bottle to dampen it.

      Leave the baking soda on the area overnight.

      Loosen the baking soda from the carpet with your hands or use a small brush.
