Instructions

    • 1

Lower the ice maker wire shutoff arm to turn the ice maker on. On models with a switch, place the switch in the "On" position.

    • 2

Locate the water line shutoff valve on the water line connected to the water supply line for the refrigerator. Turn it counterclockwise to turn it on completely.

    • 3

Wait 24 hours for the ice maker to produce enough ice after large amounts of ice have been removed.

    • 4

Replace the water filter, if a water filter is installed on the refrigerator. A clogged filter will reduce or stop the flow of water to the ice maker. Remove the filter and insert a new one according to the manufacturer's instructions.

    • 5

Remove ice on the ejector arm by scraping it with a plastic utensil. Do not use a metal utensil because it may damage the arm.

    • 6

Call a qualified service technician if the ice maker still fails to produce ice.
