Trojan.Generic puts your personal information at risk.

Trojan.Generic is a malicious program. It is particularly dangerous because it has the ability to steal the information stored on your computer and communicate it to a remote hacker. This means that anything on your computer, such as online banking passwords, credit card numbers and personal email messages, may be viewed by a remote hacker. In addition, Trojan.Generic slows your computer and decreases your available memory. But you can manually remove the trojan's components using utilities in the Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating systems.
