How to Make a Recovery Disc for XP Pro

You can create a recovery disc for your Windows XP Professional computer in case you need to restore your computer to its original system state later. This is possible through the backup utility in the XP Professional operating system, which allows you to quickly create a backup copy of the system files on your computer.

Things You'll Need

• Blank CD

Instructions

1. Click "Start," "Programs," "Accessories," "System Tools" and "Backup."

2. Click "Back Up Files and Settings" and click "All Information on this Computer."

3. Select the Desktop as the location to store the file and click "Finish."

4. Insert the blank CD and select "Open Writable Folder." Drag the backup file to the writable folder and click "Burn."
