How to Enable Screensaver Selection in Vista
A screen saver is an image that appears on your computer when your computer has been inactive for a specified amount of time. The main purpose of a screen saver is to allow users to add a level of personalization to their operating systems. When you purchase a new computer, chances are that the screen saver is disabled. In other words, no screen saver is selected. Fortunately, you can easily enable and select a screen saver in Windows Vista.

Click "Start" and "Control Panel" and "Appearance and Personalization" and "Personalization" and "Screen Saver."

Select a screen saver from the "Screen Saver" drop-down list.
