How to Disable Nero Indexing
Nero Scout is an indexing utility included with the Nero software suite. Nero Scout scans your drives for media files and then catalogs them through an indexing service. While this can make searches for your media files noticeably faster, the indexing service itself can make your computer overall noticeably slower. The indexing service will periodically start on your computer without your knowledge or approval, and will consume a fair amount of computer resources in the process. Fortunately, if you do not have any use for this service, you can safely disable it without causing any problems with your Nero software.
