How to Disable Junk Email Filtering in Outlook 2007

Microsoft Outlook 2007 comes standard with its "Junk" email filtering program turned on. This filtering program automatically sends suspicious email to the "Junk" folder, keeping it out of your inbox. This can be a convenient feature, but it can also cause you to miss emails from non-junk senders if you do not check your junk folder often. Disable the automatic filtering to stop this; email from addresses on your "Blocked Senders" list will still go straight to the junk folder.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Outlook 2007. When the interface finishes loading, click on "Tools."

    • 2

Click on "Options." Click on "Junk Email" under the "Email" subheading.

    • 3

Click on "No Automatic Filtering." Click "Apply," and then click "Ok" to close the Outlook options box.

Tips & Warnings

  • To edit your "Blocked Senders" list, click on the "Blocked Senders" tab in the "Options" menu. Remove the contacts whose email you do not want to go straight to the junk folder.
