How to Hot Sync Palm Zire 21
The Palm Zire 21 allows you to hold all of your work and personal data in one place. The device is small enough to carry everywhere you go, providing portable access to documents, calendars, and work information. The Palm Zire 21 is convenient because you can synchronize or "hot sync" it with a computer to make sure that both the Palm Zire and the computer have updated data.

Install the software that comes with the Palm Zire 21 onto your computer. This needs to be done the first time that you set up your Palm Zire 21. The software can be installed from a CD or after it is downloaded from the Palm website.

Attach your Palm Zire 21 to the computer with the universal serial bus (USB) cable that came with the handheld device. Connect one end of the cable to an available USB port on the computer, and the other end of the cable to your Palm Zire 21.

Turn on your Palm Zire 21. Click the star button on your Palm. The hot sync process will start automatically.

Click on the computer's hot sync symbol, which should be located on the bottom left side of your screen.

Start the hot sync manager on your Windows computer. Click "Start," then "Programs," select the Palm software you want to synchronize, then click on the hot sync manager.

To start the Hot Sync process, complete the same steps above but click the "Home" button before clicking the hot sync icon in Step 4.
