Disable Microsoft Bluetooth stack.

When Windows has Bluetooth enabled on the computer, Bluetooth devices can connect to the computer wirelessly. Software needs to be installed on the computer for this to work, and sometimes Bluetooth devices can conflict with other PC devices or software. If you are having problems with your PC and think the problem resides with your Bluetooth hardware, you can go into the Device Manager and disable Bluetooth. This won't delete the drivers from your computer and you can later re-enable Bluetooth should you resolve the conflict.

Instructions

    • 1

Click "Start" then type "Device Manager" in the search bar. Click on "Device Manager" in the search list.

    • 2

Double click on "Bluetooth" to expand the device list. Since the Device Manager is in alphabetical order, Bluetooth will be one of the first options listed.

    • 3

Right click on the Bluetooth device listed and click "Disable."

    • 4

Click "Yes" to verify that you wish to disable the device. Your Bluetooth device will now be disabled the next time you start your PC.
