Passwords keep your files safe from potential online predators.

In order to protect your files and your identity, many programs offer password security. Though this security is often seen as a plus, you may run into a scenario when it is a nuisance--when you've forgotten your password. Fortunately, if you are using Quicken and forget your password you can recover your password while still keeping your files protected.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the account information page. To access the account information page enter "quicken.intuit.com" into your web browser. Then click on the menu tab labeled "sign in" located in the top left-hand corner.

    • 2

Request a password hint. On the login page you should see the boxes to enter your user ID and password information, but because you have forgotten your password, click on the option labeled "forgot your password?"

    • 3

Enter your user ID. When you click the "forgot your password" option a page will open asking for you to enter your user ID. Enter your user ID and then click continue. This will send a password hint to the email connected to your Quicken account.

    • 4

Check your email for your password hint. A few minutes after you have requested a password hint, you should receive an email from Quicken support that fulfills your request. Refresh your email and retrieve your password hint.

Tips & Warnings
