How to Reset a Symbian Phone

Symbian is a smartphone operating system. A smartphone is a cross between a cell phone and a personal digital assistant. In addition to having the ability to make and receive phone calls and texting services, a smartphone also features Internet capabilities and email access, and useful applications such as a word processor. If the phone becomes frozen or is malfunctioning, the manufacturer recommends removing the battery and reinserting it. If this does not work, the phone will need to be reset.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the main menu. From the main menu, use your finger to tap on "Settings."

2. Scroll down the list of options. If desired, you can select individuals programs to reset, such as calendar or contacts, by tapping the option and then pressing the "Reset" button.

3. Press the "Advanced Tab" to reset all programs. Press "Reset All Data." Once that has been pressed, all data will be reset.

Tips & Warnings

• Only reset data as needed. Resetting the data deletes all of your stored information and this data cannot be restored.
