Instructions

    • 1

Take a picture of your own dog with a digital camera. Place a birthday hat on its head or tie a ribbon loosely around its neck for the pose. Print off the picture onto photo paper. If you do not own a dog, download pictures of a cute puppy from online or look through old magazines and calendars for pictures.

    • 2

Fold a piece of card stock in half and paste a puppy picture on the cover. Apply birthday stickers or cutouts around the picture for embellishments.

    • 3

Draw bones or paw prints on construction paper. Cut them out and paste them on the inside of the card, leaving room to write down the party information. Alternatively, get your child to make paw prints with finger paint.

    • 4

Write all vital information, including the date, time, address and add an RSVP. Make sure to add that the celebration will be a "party pups" theme for your child's birthday. Try to come up with a clever pun or expression, such as "Come to Abigail's birthday pawty," "Ready for a dog-gone good time?" or "We're hounding you to come!"
