1
Purchase a set of safari invitations or make your own out of cardstock. Cut the cardstock into the shape of a monkey, lion, or elephant. Include the party date, time, and location. Write the information with a permanent green marker.
-
2
Order safari themed cups, plates, and a tablecloth or just buy these items in a plain green.

3
Hang some green and brown crepe paper around the party location. They can represent vines found in the jungle. The website Amazing Moms recommends hanging a mosquito net from the ceiling and setting a few potted palm plants around the party area.
-
4
Hide several stuffed animals that represent animals you would find in a jungle safari around the party location. Hand out safari hats and take everyone on a walk through your pretend safari. Hand out binoculars if you have them. Let the guests who spot the animals keep them.
-
5
Play a Lion King soundtrack and play it during the party as background music. You can also use the soundtrack to play a game of musical chairs.
-
6
Draw a large monkey or lion, minus the tail, on a piece of poster board. Make tails on pieces of construction paper and them to play "Pin the Tail on the Safari Animal."
-
7
Serve safari cupcakes and jungle punch. Cover each cupcake with green icing and top them with a tiny plastic safari animal. Make punch by filling a punch bowl with a 7-Up or Sprite type soda. Add eight to ten scoops of green sherbet to the punch bowl.

Tips & Warnings
You can also provide face paint for your guests so that they can paint themselves to resemble an animal they would find in the jungle.
Animal crackers are also a good choice for a safari party.
