How to Word Sprinkle Baby Shower Invitations
A sprinkle baby shower, sometimes just called a baby sprinkle, is a type of baby shower held for babies born after the first baby in a family. The first time a family has a baby, the new mom usually needs a lot of new baby supplies. After the first time, however, a lot of big items, like cribs, strollers, walkers and changing tables, are already present. A baby sprinkle celebrates babies and family in general, so the invitations you send out will be worded differently than for a baby shower. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Write down the names and ages of the other children of the mom for whom you will be having the sprinkle baby shower. It may help you to focus.
-
2
Take into account the number of children in the family. If you intend to make the wording of your invitation rhyme, having the number in mind may come in handy.

3
Think about the flow of your invitation wording. Consider a rhyming couplet such as "[First child's name]'s new sister or brother; mom and dad have another!" or "We're having a sprinkle to celebrate Mama's new twinkle!"
-
4
Mention all the children in the family if there is more than one already, so that no one is left out. "One and two were blessings, the third's a charm; help us celebrate our new bun while it's warm," or something similar, may work for a third child.

Tips & Warnings
While a lot of baby shower invitations rhyme, there is no rule that says that they absolutely must. Use your judgment regarding what the mom-to-be and family would prefer. Some moms prefer heartfelt sentiments to rhyming.
If you have calligraphy skills, consider writing out the invitations yourself rather than simply having them printed. Handwriting invitations adds a personal touch that can amplify whatever you choose to write. If there will be a large number of invitations, ask another close friend of the mom-to-be if she wants to help.
