The Rinnai tankless water heater heats water as it is used rather than holding heated water in a tank. Rinnai recommends cleaning the water heater at least once a year. It is important to keep the water heater free of debris and dust around the burner to prevent the possibility of a fire or other damage to the unit. Rinnai recommends never using spray cleaners or wet cloths when cleaning the tankless water heater. Follow the correct procedure when cleaning the water heater to avoid damaging the internal components of the unit.
