Instructions

  1. Balloon Bouquet

    • 1

Inflate two balloons and tie the necks together. Avoid filling the balloons to their full capacity, leaving enough room to manipulate and stretch the neck of the balloon.

    • 2

Inflate a second pair of balloons and tie them together in the same manner as the first pair.

    • 3

Hold both sets of balloons at the neck. Place one pair of balloons across the neck of the second pair.

    • 4

Twist one pair of balloons at the neck to attack to the second pair. Tie a ribbon around the necks and use as a decoration.

    Arch

    • 5

Cut a kite string at least 3 feet longer than the intended arch. Attach one end of the string to a weight.

    • 6

Inflate the first balloon with helium and attach 9 inches above the weight. Attach the balloon to the string by tying the string around the neck.

    • 7

Continue to add helium-filled balloons to the string. Space the balloons so that each balloon touches the one beside it.

    • 8

Attach the opposite end of the string to a weight after all the balloons have been attached. Add ribbon streamers to the kite string for a more dramatic look.

Tips & Warnings

  • Helium-filled balloons work well for many decorations. Party stores rent helium machines if you have a large quantity to fill. They will also inflate balloons as part of the purchase price. Bring a large garbage bag to contain the balloons.

  • Keep balloons the same size by using a template with a hole cut in the center. Place each inflated balloon in the center to keep the sizes uniform.
