How to Hide the Bluetooth Icon
After installing onto your PC third-party Bluetooth drivers such as Widcomm, a Bluetooth icon shows in the System Tray and a "My Bluetooth Places" icon appears on the Desktop. The Desktop icon cannot be deleted by right-clicking and selecting "Delete," but requires a change to the Desktop settings to remove it permanently. Removing the icon from the desktop or system tray doesn't uninstall Bluetooth. (See Reference 1)
