How to Make a Printable Thank You Card
Computer technology makes it possible to create and print your own thank-you cards. Thank-you cards can be created in a graphic-design software program or by using word processing software that allows the creation of text boxes that can be rotated. Your thank-you card can be saved to your computer as a template. Then, when you want to send a card you can change the text or the graphic to personalize the note before printing.

1
Design your thank-you card in landscape or portrait mode, depending upon the preferred design. Using layout-and-design software or a word-processing program, set your guides to divide your page into quadrants.
-
2
Create your design in the lower right quadrant. Design elements can be photographs, scanned images, such as children's drawings, and text.

3
Personalize your greeting. Write a note on the inside of your thank-you card. This text will be turned upside down by clicking on the text-rotate tool and by pulling on the handle and turning it upside-down. Align the text at exactly 180 degrees by holding down the shift key while rotating the text. Place the upside-down text in the upper-left quadrant.
-
4
Place a poem or verse, if desired, in the upper right quadrant by following instructions in Step 3 to turn text upside down.
-
5
Open a new text box for your logo. The logo will be placed in the lower left quadrant, approximately an inch from the bottom of the page.
-
6
Check your computer specifications for printing card stock. Many home printers require hand feeding of card stock, rather than placing the paper in a tray.
