How to Start Up a Zune 120 GB

Getting the Zune powered up places the convenience of MP3s in your hand.

Starting up the 120GB version of the Microsoft Zune MP3 player is much the same as starting up the other versions of the Zune. Most MP3 players (Zune included) will automatically start up when plugged into a computer. This is helpful when the Zune is new and not synchronized with a computer. After synchronization, Zunes (and other MP3 players) start up a little easier because they are already configured. There is no direct power button, but the Play/Pause button takes its place.

Instructions

1. Check to see if the Zune is locked or unlocked. Look at the slider next to the headphone jack. Push the slider to the left if the Zune is locked.

2. Press the Pause/Play button to boot up your Zune. Wait for the display light to turn on - if it does not, then your battery may be completely dead. Plug the Zune into the computer to start charging the device.

3. Press the Play/Pause button again if the display light does not automatically trigger. Wait for the display to turn on now that your Zune is connected to a charging source (your computer). If the Zune still does not start up, consult the trouble shooting section of your Zune's manual.
