RCA Remote Program Instructions
RCA remotes come in a number of uses and formats and can be found in universal varieties that can be programmed to work with your entire entertainment center. These universal remotes can usually be synced to up to four devices and allow you to switch from your television to your DVD player with just a few button clicks. Programming can be done with the codes for your device, which are in your remote manual.

Turn on the device that you are programming, whether it is your television, VCR, DVD player or stereo.

Press and hold the "Code Search" button on your RCA remote and continue to hold the remote until the red indicator light on the remote flashes and remains lit. This light is on the front of the remote and is pointed at the television when you are using the remote.

Press once and release the button on your remote for the device that you would like to sync to the remote. The button is labeled "TV," "DVD," "AUX" or "VCR." Once you release the button, the red light on the remote flashes once.

Enter the three-digit code for your device using the remote's keypad. Once you enter the code, the LED light on the remote turns off.

Press and release the "On/Off" button on your remote until the device responds by turning off.
