How to Reformat a Dell Inspiron 710M
The Inspiron 710M is a laptop from Dell. This computer comes with Windows XP installed on it and - if you want to revert the computer back to its default state - you can reformat the computer with the operating system CD included with the computer. This erases and reloads your operating system and erases all of your programs and data, so make a backup of any data you want to save before you perform the operation.

Turn on your Dell 710M, insert your Windows XP CD and restart the computer.

Press the "Enter" key when you see the message, "Press any key to boot from CD-ROM."

Press the "Enter" key at the blue welcome screen and press the "F8" key.

Select your current Windows installation, press "D," press "Enter" and press "L" to erase it.

Press "C," and press "Enter" three times to reformat the computer and reinstall your operating system.
