Download and install Ad-Aware, a free software product that will help you detect keystroke loggers and other malware on your computer. A free version of this software is available online from the Lavasoft website. Ad-Aware is also available in more advanced versions which provide better security and protection for a small fee.

Download and install Spybot Search & Destroy, another free software product that can be downloaded from the Spybot S &D website or various other sites offering freeware. Run the program periodically to detect keystroke loggers and other spyware on your system. When a keystroke logger is detected, Spybot will alert you and provide an option to remove the unwanted spyware from your computer.

Use the Windows Live Safety Scanner, a service offered by Microsoft. No software download is required. You can simply go to Microsoft's OneCare Live website and scan your computer. You will be able to search for and remove keystroke loggers and other malware directly from the website.
