How to Throw a Tony Award Party
If the Tony awards are an exciting night for you and make you want to belt out some show tunes, have a party to celebrate Broadway's biggest night. Tape a long sheet of red gift wrap on an entry way to create a red carpet look. Hang silver stars all over the room, clear twinkly lights, and make signs out of posterboard that say "Broadway," "New York," and the names of the nominated shows. These posters should look similar to marquee signs.

Wear a party dress and specify cocktail attire on the invitations. Dressing up will make guests feel like they are part of the glamour of the evening.

Lay out a food spread including appetizer type items such as a cheese and crackers tray, dips and chips, shrimp cocktail, and lots of desserts like petits fours and miniature cupcakes. These will stand in for the award show parties for actors that typically consist of indulgent foods and drinks. There are no traditional Tony drinks, but champagne and fruit juices should do.

Print the Tony ballot before the show and give all guests a copy. A "prediction" contest is an easy Tony related game to play. Some other options are trivia about famous plays, songs or actors and a "Name That Tune" game with Broadway tunes in between the commercials.
