How to Use a Rose Art Cotton Candy Machine
The Rose Art “The Real Cotton Candy Machine” is a homespun cotton candy maker approved for use by those ages 10 and up. The machine should include a preassembled base, a bowl, a mess guard and paper cones. After the machine is set up and sugar is added to the spinner, actually making cotton candy takes little effort beyond swiping one of the paper cones in the cotton candy threads that form in the bowl. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Lint-free microfiber cloths
- Rose Art colored sugar
- Dry, granulated sugar
Instructions

1
Moisten lightly each suction cup on the base. Position the base on a flat, non-porous work surface. Push down on the base gently to lock the cups onto the surface.
-
2
Wipe the bowl with a slightly damp lint-free microfiber cloth. Set the bowl on the base and turn it clockwise so the tabs on the bowl lock under the tabs on the base. Wipe the mess guard with the cloth and place it on the bowl.

3
Plug in and turn on your machine, and wait 10 minutes. Sprinkle 1 tsp. of Rose Art colored sugar or dry, granulated sugar into the middle of the spinner cover. Wait 60 seconds.
-
4
Insert the wide end of a cone into the bowl near the sides. Rotate the cone in your hand while moving it slowly around the bowl to pick up wispy cotton candy strands.
-
5
Add another teaspoon of sugar. Wait 60 seconds and repeat the process. Continue until you’ve accumulated the desired amount of cotton candy on the cone.
-
6
Repeat the entire process with additional sugar and cones as needed. When finished, wait five minutes and shut off the machine. Wait for the motor to stop running and then unplug the machine.
-
7
Lift the mess guard from the bowl. Turn the bowl counterclockwise and lift it from the base. Turn the safety key counter-clockwise to unscrew it from the safety nut. Remove both pieces from the base post and lift the spinner cover and spinner from the post.
-
8
Rinse the pieces in warm water to clean away cotton candy strands and melted sugar and then wipe and air-dry the pieces. Shake the base over a sink to remove any loose sugar and then wipe it --especially the rim--with a slightly damp cloth until it's dry.
-
9
Slide the spinner onto the base post, turn it clockwise until it locks into tabbed slots and then slide the spinner cover onto the post so the arrow on the cover and base align. Slide the safety nut and safety key on the post--turning the safety key to tighten the nut, spinner and cover in place. Reattach the bowl and mess guard, and store the machine.
