How to Use Loose Tea With a Coffee Maker
Those who enjoy loose leaf tea on a regular basis enjoy the wide variety of teas available and the ability to control the strength and flavor of the tea. Loose tea is typically brewed with a tea infuser, a small device that keeps the loose tea contained while allowing it to steep in the hot water. Clean the coffee pot thoroughly to ensure there's no residual coffee taste that will affect the taste of the tea.

A coffee filter acts as the tea bag. Place a coffee filter in the filter area of the coffee maker.

Pour the preferred amount of water into the water receptacle of the coffee maker. Add 1 tsp. loose tea for each 3 cups of water added to the receptacle. Place the loose tea in the coffee filter.

Brew the loose tea by starting the coffee maker the same way you would to brew coffee.

Tips & Warnings
Use lemon juice and salt to wash the coffee maker and remove coffee or tea residue that can alter the beverage's taste.
