      Apply 2 tbsp. of peanut butter to a soft cloth or rag.

      Rub the peanut butter-soaked cloth or rag into the pine tar on your skin until the substance starts to break up.

      Wash the peanut butter and pine tar from your skin with warm water. Apply 1 tbsp. of hand soap to your skin and rub the soap onto your skin.

      Rinse your skin thoroughly with warm water and then dry it with a clean cloth or rag.

    Removing Pine Tar From Surfaces

      Apply 2 tbsp. of rubbing alcohol, found at drug and hardware/home improvement stores, or lighter fluid to a soft cloth or rag.

      Rub the alcohol- or lighter fluid-soaked cloth or rag into the pine tar. Reapply rubbing alcohol or lighter fluid to the cloth or rag. Continue rubbing the pine tar until it is liquefied.
