      Combine 2 cups white vinegar and 2 cups warm water in a bucket. Soak a clean cloth in the solution and squeeze out the excess liquid.

      Wipe the windows with the vinegar solution, using a little elbow grease on areas where the fire-extinguisher residue is dried. Rinse the cleaning cloth in plain water and dip it in the vinegar solution again to clean a new portion of the window.

      Dry the window glass with a clean towel.

      Look for any remaining fire-extinguisher residue on the window glass. Pour undiluted rubbing alcohol on a clean cloth and wipe up any remaining fire-extinguisher residue.

      Wash the rubbing alcohol off the window glass with the vinegar solution, then dry with a clean towel.
