How do I Clean Trex Composite Decking?
The Trex Company began in 1999 and manufactures Trex brand decking, fencing, rails and trim. Trex composite decks are made from recycled materials and are weatherproof and do not need staining or painting. Cleaning a Trex composite deck should be done after the initial installation and then twice a year in order to preserve the appearance and extend the life of the Trex deck. Does this Spark an idea?

Use a broom to brush away dirt and debris from the deck surface.

Spray the deck surface with a hose and clean water and allow to dry.

Mix ½ cup dishwashing liquid with 1 gallon hot water in a large bucket.

Use the brush to lightly scrub the deck using the dishwashing liquid. Rinse the deck with clean water when complete. Allow to dry.

Dampen a stain erasing sponge and scrub any stains that do not clean off following the above steps. If this does not remove the stain, apply deck brightener, available at most hardware or home repair stores, and allow to sit for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water.
