Instructions

    • 1

Tear a paper plate, or a similar-sized piece of cardboard, in half.

    • 2

Place each half of the plate on opposite sides of the vomit, with the torn edges facing each other.

    • 3

Bring the two pieces of paper plate (or cardboard) together, as if you are reconnecting the torn section. Move the halves under the vomit, and scoop up the vomit with the two pieces. As you bring the pieces together, press downward to scrape up as much of the vomit and liquid as possible.

    • 4

Discard the vomit and the paper plate or cardboard.

    • 5

Sponge up the area with warm water and a clean sponge or rag.

    • 6

Pour baking soda on the wet stain and let dry.

    • 7

      Vacuum up the baking soda.

    • 8

Add another coat of baking soda to the stain and let it set for about 30 minutes before removing with a vacuum cleaner.

    • 9

Pour some club soda on the stain.

    • 10

Blot up with a paper towel.

    • 11

Clean the area with a carpet cleaner. Follow the instructions on the carpet cleaner or spotter you choose.
