How do I Clean Ceramic Stove Tops?
Ceramic stove tops are flat. Spills do not go under any burners to make cleaning more difficult. Spills are therefore more simple to remove. It is important, however, that you take care when cleaning your ceramic stove top so that you do not scratch the surface or cause the surface to crack. Things You'll Need
- Washcloth
- Vinegar
- Ceramic stove top cleaner
- Scouring pad
- Water
- Ceramic stove top scraper

Wait 15 minutes after you have finished cooking for the heating element to cool off before you begin cleaning your ceramic stove top.

Pour vinegar on a dry washcloth until it is absorbed. Use this washcloth to wipe down your ceramic stove top in between thorough cleanings. The vinegar will remove grease and leave the stove top free of streaks.

Pour some ceramic stove top cleaner directly onto your ceramic stove top.

Place a scouring pad over the cleaner and begin to rub the cleaner all over the surface of the ceramic stove top. Make sure you get a scouring pad that is a no-scratch pad. Usually these are green in color.

Rinse your washcloth clean and wipe up the cleaner. Repeat until all of the cleaner has been removed from the ceramic stove top.

Examine the stove top to see if there is any stuck-on or burnt-on pieces of food that didn't come off with the ceramic stove top cleaner. If so, use a ceramic stove top scraper to scrape those pieces away. Do this carefully to avoid scratching the surface.

Tips & Warnings
You can substitute a paper towel or soft rag for the washcloth if you need to.
Never use a Brillo or SOS pad on a ceramic stove top. It will scratch the surface.
Do not pour water over the ceramic stove top to rinse it off.
