Using a Pumice Stone
-
1
Use a pumice stone for safe and easy cleaning. Clean the tub with a sponge and scratch-free cleaner. Rinse the cleaner away thoroughly. This prepares the surface for the pumice stone.
-
2
Wet the area where the stain is thoroughly. Dampen the pumice stone and rub over the area. It may take a couple of minutes, so keep the stone and tub wet. Don't rub very hard.
-
-
3
Rinse completely. Run the pumice stone over the stain again, if necessary.
Using Lemon and Salt
-
4
Salt is a natural way to remove rust from your tub. Clean the tub with a sponge and scratch-free cleaner. Wet the area to be treated and sprinkle it liberally with salt, coating the area. Squeeze the juice of a lemon over the salt.
-
5
The acid in lemons helps remove stains. Work the salt and lemon juice together, scrubbing lightly with the sponge. Let the salt and lemon juice sit on the stain overnight.
-
6
Scrub with sponge again in the morning and rinse.
