1
Paint the walls in the colors of your child's favorite superhero. For example, red and blue with yellow accents for Superman---gray, black and yellow for Batman---red and blue for Spiderman. Alternatively, paint the walls a single flat color and paint various superhero figures on the walls with stencils.

2
Select a variety of superhero and super villain posters. Hang the posters around the room, matching superheroes to the villains they fight. Arranging the posters this way helps tell a superhero story your child can look at as she goes to sleep each night.

3
Hang wooden shelves around the room and line them with superhero and super villain action figures. Mix the action figures or arrange them according to the corporation that creates them---such as the D.C. Universe and the Marvel Universe.

4
Buy life-size cardboard superhero cutouts. You can find these at movie-themed retail stores or comic stores. You can also purchase large cutouts at auction websites. Set up the life-size cutouts around the room so your child's favorite superheros watch over him every night.
-
5
Purchase your child's favorite superhero bedding. Sheets, bedspreads and pillow cases featuring her favorite superhero will add the perfect finishing touch to a superhero bedroom.
-
6
Add lighting to help enhance the theme of the superhero room. Use a light cover over your child's light that creates the emblem of your child's favorite hero on the ceiling or wall. Alternatively, colored light bulbs that match the main color of your child's favorite superhero's outfit can give the room more hero-specific personality.
