Cleaning a sink, or any fixture with a drain, involves liquids going down a drain and into the environment. If you are opposed to using chemical cleaners when washing the inside of a bathroom sink, you can use a household liquid that removes mold without hurting the sink or Mother Nature.   • Soft-bristled brushes
  • Spray bottle
  • White vinegar
  • Pan
  • Water

      Scrub away the mold that you see on the sink with a wet soft-bristled brush. Do not worry if you cannot remove all of the mold from the sink, as you will do so later.

      Pour undiluted white vinegar into a spray bottle. The amount of vinegar you will need depends on the amount of mold in the sink.

      Spray the areas of the sink affected by mold. Leave the vinegar on the sink for ten minutes.

      Boil about three cups of water inside a pan.

      Pour the boiling water into the sink slowly, covering all of the mold-covered parts of the sink with the water. This rinses the sink and also ensures all the mold is removed from the sink.
