How to Remove Melted Crayon From the Dryer
A crayon left in a pocket can create a laundry mess that's much larger than the tiny coloring utensil itself. One small crayon can leave marks on an entire load of laundry, and even stain the drum of the dryer. A crayon stain should be handled much like a candle stain--you must treat both the wax and the grease that a melted crayon leaves behind. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Apply an ice cube to the melted crayon for a few seconds to make sure the crayon wax is completely cool.
-
2
Scrape off as much of the crayon wax as possible with a rubber or soft plastic scraper. Cup your non-scraping hand under the stain to catch any bits of crayon you get off.
-
-
3
Apply a small amount of a multipurpose household lubricant to a clean cloth. Wipe off the crayon grease with the lubricant.
-
4
Dampen a clean cloth in soapy water and wash off all of the lubricant from the dryer's drum.
-
5
Place a load of dry rags into the dryer and run them through a regular cycle. Look for evidence of remaining crayon on the rags and the drum. Repeat the process if needed.
