How Do I Clean Cultured Marble Tubs & Showers?

Don't use abrasives on cultured marble.

Cultured marble is made of marble dust and synthetic materials. The synthetics coat the marble dust and create a more durable, less porous surface that won't stain as easily. Cultured marble is made to look similar to solid marble, but holds up slightly better under normal wear and tear. However, even cultured marble must be cared for with a gentle touch.

Things You'll Need

• Wash cloth or squeegee
• Vinegar
• Spray bottle
• Polishing compound

Instructions

1. Wipe down shower and tub walls with a squeegee after showering. If you don't have a squeegee, use a dry towel. You mainly want to remove water drops so that they do not form spots.

2. Spray vinegar on cultured marble tubs and showers to clean. Vinegar removes hard water spots and soap buildup. Let the spray set for at least 45 minutes.

3. Wipe down the marble walls with a damp rag after spraying with vinegar.

4. Apply a polishing compound to the cultured marble with a dry cloth and rub in to buff and rejuvenate the shine of the cultured marble.
