How to Build a Website Webinar
A webinar is an online seminar in which users log onto a website to attend a seminar. The presenter logs on and meets virtually with viewers on a website using a web conference software provider. A webinar can be designed in various formats to suit the needs of the presentation. If you are responsible for creating the webinar, you can use various online resources to construct it.
Instructions
-
-
1
Choose an online web conference provider. Examples include Microsoft Life Meeting, Webex.com and GoToMeeting.com.
-
2
Construct a PowerPoint slideshow that will be the focus on the webinar. When you construct the slides for the PowerPoint, stick to the point and provide keywords only, so you can explain the vital information.
-
-
3
Make a plan of what information will be on each slide. Keep each slide interesting and to the point. Add pictures, interesting phrases and words, so people will need to attend the webinar to fully understand the context of the content.
-
4
Read through your slides so you can determine whether your goals of the webinar are coming through. If your goals do not stand out, trim the content down so it is less overpowering.
-
5
Add multimedia tools, such as videos and sound effects to get your point across. Do not overuse them, as using them less frequently will deliver a stronger effect.
-
6
Upload your PowerPoint file onto your chosen web conference provider. There will be a list of options for audio, including telephone conferencing or computer online audio.
-
7
Add extras to your webinar using the web conference provider, such as giving users the ability to ask questions, answer surveys and the ability to record the webinar.
-
8
Test the webinar to see how it works. Make the appropriate adjustment as you complete the webinar testing. For example, sound can be flawed in the PowerPoint document.
-
9
Complete the web conference information and you will be given a link for your website webinar. When the time comes for your webinar, you need to log in to entertain your guests. When done, send the link out to your friends, colleagues and people who need to attend. Give them a login as provided by the web conference provider.
