  1. Filter Email into a Gmail Account

      Visit Gmail.com and log in using your account credentials.

      Locate the "Settings" link located at the top of your screen and click on it to adjust the settings of your account.

      Click on "Accounts and Import."

      Locate "Check mail using POP3" section of the screen and click on the "Add POP3 Email Account" located directly below. A new screen will open allowing you to enter the information of the new email account from which you are trying receive emails.

      Enter the full email address of the alternate account from which you want to receive messages.

      Click on "Next Step."

      Enter your user name, password, and POP3 server information of the email account you wish to retrieve in your Gmail account.

      Select the email settings you want using the check boxes.

      Click on "Add Account." Gmail is now set up to retrieve all messages from the other email account.

    Filter Email into a Yahoo! Account

      Visit the Yahoo! Mail portal and log in using your account credentials.

      Click "Options" in the upper-right corner of your mail account page.

      Select "More Options" from the drop down menu.

      Click on "Accounts" from the list on the left side of your screen.

      Click on "Add Account" at the top of the screen.

      Enter the external email account details, to send and receive messages from your Yahoo! account.

      Click on the "Save Changes" button on the top of your screen when you are done inputting the account information. Your Yahoo! account is now successfully setup to retrieve messages from your external email account.

Tips & Warnings

  • Repeat the steps for each email provider to add multiple external email accounts. Gmail and Yahoo! Mail will pre-populate sample settings, but please check with your other email providers to get the correct server name and port. Only POP mail servers are supported by Yahoo! Mail at this time.
