How to Download the Old MSN

MSN Messenger was an instant messaging application by Microsoft released in 1999 and later renamed to Windows Live Messenger in 2005. The new Messenger included VoIP technology for PC-to-PC and PC-to-Phone calls, enabled folder sharing and allowed compatibility with the Yahoo! Messenger. However, if you do not like the new Windows Live Messenger you can still download and install the old MSN Messenger at no charge.

Instructions

      Go to the old MSN Messenger free download Web page and click "Download MSN Messenger 7.5."

      Click "Save" in the confirmation pop-up, navigate to the location on your hard drive where you want to save the file and click "Save" again.

    • 3

      Double-click the saved file to execute it and then follow the step-by-step prompts of the installation wizard to install MSN Messenger to your computer.
