Directions for the Whirley Pop Popcorn Popper

Make popcorn on top of your stove with a Whirley Pop popcorn maker.

The Whirley pop popcorn popper, used on the stovetop, has a crank at the top for you to constantly keep the kernels moving inside the pot as they pop. This prevents the popcorn from burning. Stovetop popped popcorn contains none of the added preservative or chemicals found in bags of microwave popcorn, nor does it have the bland taste of air-popped corn. Once you master the art of the Whirley Pop, you may never return to microwave popcorn bags.

Things You'll Need

• Whirley Pop popcorn popper
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• ½ cup popcorn kernels

Instructions

1. Pour the vegetable oil and popcorn kernels into the cold Whirley Pop popper.

2. Affix the lid to the pot.

3. Heat the popcorn popper over medium heat on the stove.

4. Turn the handle on top of the Whirley Pop clockwise from the time you first hear a pop until the popping slows to one to two seconds between pops. Expect the Whirley Pop popper to require three minutes to pop ½ cup popcorn kernels into eight quarts.

5. Remove the popcorn popper from the heat and serve immediately.
