Instructions

    • 1

Jot down some of the perks that you will have at your party. For example, you might have rare bottles of vintage champagne to offer guests or you might have Belgian truffles imported from Europe or you might be screening a classic film like "It's a Wonderful Life" or "Miracle on 34th Street" from a projector onto a large screen. Regardless, jot down the things that will make your tree-trimming party different from others.

Write the three or four best elements from your list in large capital letters on the front of your invitation. For example, write "FRENCH CHAMPAGNE! BELGIAN TRUFFLES! JIMMY STEWART!" These words will grab the invitee's attention right away and also be very memorable.

    • 3

Write underneath those words a few words in capital letters which will describe the atmospheric elements of the party, such as "MERRIMENT! JOVIALITY! GOOD CHEER!" Underneath those words write something like "Even with all these things at our party, it still won't be complete without you. I really hope you come." This should succeed in making each guest feel special and wanted.

    • 4

Write the essential information at the bottom of the card such as the time, date and location of the event. Write a final funny sentence at the bottom so that invitees remember the event. For example, "Real or fur babies welcome" or "Don't feel compelled to bring anything unless it's a map of Middle Earth or some unicorn tears."
