Instructions

    • 1

Add 3/4 cup salt to an empty 1-liter spray bottle.

    • 2

Fill the spray bottle with vinegar, but leave 1/2 inch of space at the top. Screw the lid onto the bottle.

    • 3

Shake the bottle vigorously until the salt dissolves. This may take up to a minute of constant shaking.

    • 4

Add 1 tbsp of liquid dish soap to the bottle. The soap will help the liquid stick to the weeds.

    • 5

Spray the weeds so they are covered in a thin layer of the liquid. Let it sit and dry onto the weeds.

    • 6

Repeat the process every two days, if necessary. One application is enough to kill some weeds, but others may be more stubborn.

Tips & Warnings

  • Spray carefully. Salt may make it difficult, or even impossible, to grow new plant life in the soil for several years.
