How to Listen on a Ventrilo Server
The Ventrilo program is a VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol program. VoIP programs allow voice communication to take place on the Internet using servers. A wide variety of Ventrilo servers exist, a large portion of which always contain users. Servers with many users are called populated servers. Listen to communications on Ventrilo by connecting to a populated server and simply waiting. No mic is required to listen while connected to a Ventrilo server; only audio speakers are needed.

Obtain the information of the Ventrilo server you wish to connect to. Write down the password, host name and port number of the server.

Open the Ventrilo program. Click the "->" button next to the "Server" text.

Type the server's host name or IP address into the top text field. Type the port number in the "Port" field. Type the server's password in the "Password" field if needed. Press "OK."

Click the "Connect" button. Once you are connected to the server, navigate to a room populated by other users by double clicking the appropriate room. All communication between the users plays through your speakers or headset.

Tips & Warnings
You can adjust volume levels individually by right clicking their username and choosing the "Volume" option.
