1
Wash and dry your hoodie prior to any personalization. The Avery iron-on instructions website suggests this to help preshrink the fabric so that your personalization does not get warped or destroyed in future washes.
-
2
Pick a personalization item. Decide if you want to personalize with your name, initials or a picture.
-
-
3
Use your personalization supplies to create a sample look. For example, if you want to personalize your hoodie with your initials and are using iron-on letter patches, set out the patches where you want them to be on your hoodie. If you are using a picture from your computer, print it out onto iron-on transfer paper and align it where you would like it on the hoodie.
-
4
Perfect your personalization on the hoodie. Be sure that everything is in its proper place on the hoodie before going onto the next step.
-
5
Iron your design onto your hoodie with a hot iron with no steam. Use plenty of pressure and keep the iron on the design for about 30 seconds before removing.
-
6
Hang the hoodie up to cool for a few minutes.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using iron-on paper for your personalization you will need to peel the backing off after ironing. If the design begins to lift, re-iron with more pressure.
A towel underneath your hoodie will help the design stick when you are ironing.
