How to Troubleshoot a Zune 120
With how much we depend on personal media players to us through our workdays, commutes, and workouts, it can be incredibly frustrating to experience issues that prevent us from accessing our favorite songs and videos. The Zune 120 may fall victim to issues caused by low batteries, software errors, and a number of other maladies that are usually fixable without third-party interference.

Charge your Zune for 30 minutes by connecting it to your computer or a wall outlet. A Zune that does not respond to user activity may have just run its battery down.

Restart your Zune. Press and hold the "On/Off" button (located on the top of your Zune 120) until the device restarts. Rebooting a Zune can solve many of the most common problems users encounter.

Update the Zune's software. You can do this by restarting your Zune, then immediately holding the "Media" button until "CONNECT ZUNE TO YOUR PC" shows on the screen. Connect the Zune to a computer with the most recent version of the Zune software and update the device.

Erase the Zune and start with a fresh install. To do this, restart the Zune, then press and hold the "Media" and "Home" buttons until "CONNECT ZUNE TO YOUR PC" is displayed. When you connect your Zune 120 to your computer, it will walk you through the original setup instructions and install the most recent version of the Zune software.
