How to Setup a WiFi Router
A wireless router is an important part of your home Internet connection. A wireless router connects to your Internet modem and creates a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection you can easily access throughout your home. Using a wireless router, you have the advantage of connecting numerous computers and devices to your network without sacrificing speed.

Unplug your Internet modem's power plug, and plug your wireless router's power cord into an available wall power outlet.

Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Internet out (WAN) port of your modem and the other end to the Internet in port of your wireless router.

Connect a second Ethernet cable from an available output on your wireless router to your computer.

Insert the disc that was included with your wireless router and install the required drivers.

Create a unique network name (SSID). This is the network to which you will be connecting.

Make your wireless network secure by setting a password.
