How do I Create & Print Calendars With Free Software?
If all you need is a basic calendar to print out and write on, there are many free calendar making software programs available online. Printing your own calendar saves money without having to wait until the new year, when calendars typically go on sale. Also, you can make a calendar to start and end at anytime as needed. Printed calendars can be displayed one page at a time, excellent for the refrigerator or tucked away in a book, backpack or briefcase.

Locate a free software program to use. Many are available online, including keepandshare.com, myfreecalendarmaker.com and freeprintablecalendar.net.

Pick the kind of calendar you want. For example, you can often choose one that prints one month per page, one year per page or one week per page, usually by clicking on the circle next to the type of calendar you want.

Fill in the beginning month and ending date. This is often done by clicking on the date box and either typing in the calendar dates using the standard MM/DD/YYYY format, selecting at date from a pull-down menu or clicking on the date of a little calendar that pops open.

Select other options you want, such as patriotic holidays and phases of the moon listed on the calendar. These options vary among software programs. Note that most free online calendar software programs do not allow you to type on the calendars before printing.

Print. Click "File" and "Print" on your top toolbar to print or click "Control" and "P" at the same time. On some software programs, you can print an entire all the pages of your calendar in one printing, but other programs, you must print each page individually. You may have to click a button that says something similar to "View Printable Calendar" to get to the blank calendar before printing.

Download Open Office, a free version similar to Microsoft Word. Then visit the calendar templates page to make your own calendar by saving the template on your computer (see Resources). Open it and type on the calendar important events before printing.
