How to Configure Windows Media Center Remote

Windows Media Center does more than store and organize your pictures, movies, music and recorded TV shows; with a Media Center remote control, you can manipulate your media library from across the room, turning your computer into a TV capable of playing music and pictures as well as video.

To configure the Windows Media Center remote control, you'll need not only the remote itself, but an infrared receiver (IR), otherwise the remote signal will have nowhere to go.
