How to Tie a Hawaiian Wrap
A Hawaiian wrap is versatile and can be tied in a variety of ways. It can be worn as a beach cover-up, knee-length or long skirt, halter dress, toga-style dress, scoop-neck dress or skirt or a more intricately styled dress. A typical Hawaiian wrap measures approximately 5 1/2 feet in length and 4 feet in width. The fabric is usually cotton printed with vibrant colors and bright patterns. Some fabrics also have fringe. The patterns range from bright hibiscus and other floral designs to tropical scenery. Hawaiian wraps provide comfort, and can be worn during the day or during a relaxing evening. Tying a Skirt

Grab opposite corners of the length of the cloth so that it is horizontal to the ground. Wrap it once around your waist.

Tie the cloth in a simple square knot on either the left or right side of your waist.

Double-knot the cloth for extra protection when you wear it as a skirt.
Tying a Dress

Hold the opposite corners of the cloth in a horizontal position.

Wrap it tightly twice around your chest just below the armpits.

Tuck the ends of the cloth into the wrap and secure it using several safety pins.
Tying a Halter Dress

Hold the top corners of the cloth in a horizontal position around your back.

Bring the wrap around you while holding the opposite corners of the horizontal cloth.

Criss-cross the corners in front of your chest. Twist the two ends several times around each other.

Pull to tighten the cloth and wrap the two ends behind your neck.

Double-tie a simple square knot to secure the wrap behind your neck.

Tips & Warnings
To wear a Hawaiian wrap as a short beach cover-up, fold the cloth into a triangle and tie the longer ends together around your waist.
If you have fringed fabric, you can also create a stylish beach cover-up. Hold the wrap in a horizontal position and fold it in half so that the fringe hangs towards the bottom portion. Double-tie square knots around your waist to secure the wrap.
