Instructions

    • 1

Verify that the speaker wires are connected at the rear of the subwoofer and to each Klipsch speaker. Wires should run from the amplifier to each speaker. They should be connected to the positive (red) and negative (black) connection on the amplifier and on the speaker. If you are using a Klipsch decoder with your Klipsch speakers, look for a Test button. Press it to run test tones through each speaker. If a particular speaker doesn't respond, you know that's where the problem is.

    • 2

Unplug and clean the metal plugs at the end of the speaker wires with rubbing alcohol if you hear a static noise from speakers. Plug the speakers back in and try to listen, or test again.

    • 3

Swap wires around if you're not getting sound out of a speaker. For example, if the left front speaker doesn't work, try the right front wires in it. That way you can eliminate either wiring, or the speaker itself, as the problem area.

    • 4

Set the home theater box to "ProLogic" if sound only comes out of the front speakers. To enable the back Klipsch speakers, the home theater needs to be set properly.
